Paying It Forward through Micro Credit

Common Strand Foundation

Common Strand was born out of Aliya and Brian Card's desire to apply the principles of micro-credit with the concept of paying it forward.

 Being inspired into action, Aliya contacted her friends--alerting them to her passion, which was compelling her to go back to her roots--her home country of Pakistan.

 Marianne and Aliya have been friends since their days as freshmen in high school, so of course Marianne & Beka pledged their support, and that's how faith2REALITY Productions became involved with Common Strand.

 Aliya spent nearly two months in Pakistan, traveling through the poorest, war-torn villages to find five women who wanted an otherwise impossible chance to change their lives.  Aliya documented the stories of these first five women.  Please take time to watch the trailer produced from her footage below.
